So, last night was a really good example of a challenge. Most kids ask for pretty standard stuff, or they're cool with letting me surprise them (which always results in cooler shapes and happier kids, I find). This one little girl was wearing a pink shirt with a fluffy lady sheep on it. (I know the sheep was a lady because she had eyelashes.) So, I was asked to make a black sheep with white wool. And what I came up with was a pretty standard face and ears with a three bubble roll-through/bird body to plump it up a bit. When I gave it to her she asked if I could make it fluffy. I could not, but made her a cool minion (because the fluffy talk lead to talking about the "so fluffy I'm gonna die!" scene in Despicable Me) instead, and promised to work on it for my balloon blog. So, I made the black sheep first, then a more traditional one. Now I have enough to count on my way to a nap.
